About the Forum

The Medical Student Forum on Female Sexual Medicine is an independent medical trainee-led organization to facilitate medical students and residents to collaborate, learn, and educate academic peers about Female Sexual Medicine (FSM). There are a variety of medical conditions and treatments addressed by this field, yet such information is typically underrepresented in medical school curricula. Knowledge of this field is a critical component of a comprehensive medical education. At the Forum, students advocate and collaborate within their academic communities on the importance of including FSM in medical school education through conducting curriculum reviews, as well as creating educational materials, lectures, discussions, and an annual Symposium featuring experts in the field of FSM. The Forum was founded in May 2020 by Jen Romanello.
