sexual medicine across medicine: APPROACHES IN DIFFERENT SPECIALTIES
For our fourth annual Symposium, we aim for medical students to learn about the variety of ways to practice Female Sexual Medicine (FSM) in their future careers. FSM does not belong to just one area of medicine. It is practiced by a variety of specialties, such as the ones represented at the Symposium (urology, ob/gyn, internal medicine, psychiatry, dermatology, and pm&r), and others, such as family medicine and oncology. Non-physician clinicians including, but not limited to, physical therapists and sex therapists are also integral to this work. Each has unique insights to bring to FSM and collaboration is paramount to caring for patients. The Symposium Chair is Anna Gomez (Rosalind Franklin University'24) and the Symposium Committee Member is Paula Herbst (UIC'26) There will be an optional $5 donation that attendees can make via Venmo. And we will have an exciting raffle for 1 lucky person as well!!
Raffle prizes coming soon! (:
